Philosophy

Combining the imagination of a poet with the skills of a clinical psychologist, Dr. Coco is an engaged, active listener. The goal of therapy, as she sees it, is both to reduce current distress and enhance your passion and sense of purpose.

Dr. Coco uses Jungian and existential perspectives to deepen every conversation. This provides a through-line of inquiry across sessions. But to help people start feeling better in the short-term, Dr. Coco draws on the skill-sets of cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and the strengths-based emphasis of positive psychology.
